Regional Director, Ambulatory Surgery Center Sales, South Central

Current Opportunity: We’re expanding our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) sales team and seeking a Regional Director of ASC Sales to lead growth efforts in the South Central region. This role is pivotal in supporting and expanding relationships with large, complex, strategic ASC customers within the McKesson Medical Surgical market. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in surgery center sales , a strategic mindset, and a proven ability to drive results in a highly competitive healthcare environment. Preferred Location: Texas will provide the best access to the overall territory. Louisiana residents are also welcome. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Account Leadership Own and execute the master strategy for supporting strategic ASC customers, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and growth objectives.
Develop and manage detailed account plans, including expansion strategies, resource needs, decision-maker mapping, and contract negotiations.
Customer Satisfaction & Retention Drive customer satisfaction metrics such as service levels, Net Promoter Score (NPS), financial performance, and alignment with customer goals.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at ASC headquarters to promote McKesson offerings.
Sales Growth & Expansion Identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow sales within existing strategic ASC accounts.
Collaborate across McKesson business units to uncover new areas of growth and penetration.
Analyze market trends, competitive products, and pricing strategies to inform sales tactics.
Vendor & Internal Collaboration Partner with manufacturing vendors to enhance product portfolios, improve compliance, and drive margin growth.
Align strategies with Regional ASC Directors and other McKesson teams to deliver enterprise-wide value.
Travel Requirements Frequent travel exceeding 50% is required.
Minimum Requirements 7+ years of field sales experience specifically within the surgery center market and corporate accounts.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Basic Qualifications Proven success in consultative selling at the C-suite level.
Strong leadership, networking, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated ability to execute long-term strategic plans.
Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
Strong analytical and business acumen.
Exceptional organization and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications Deep understanding of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs).
Experience supporting large, complex customers with integrated sales solutions and contract negotiations.
Familiarity with technology systems and customer connectivity platforms, with the ability to articulate their value.
Education Bachelor’s degree required.
