Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Salesman to drive sales growth and strengthen customer relationships within the Midwest territory. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors and will be instrumental in promoting a diverse range of metal packaging solutions. Expecting 50% travel in midwest territory.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned Midwest territory. Identify and cultivate relationships with key retail accounts, distributors, and channel partners. Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and logistics, to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the retail or CPG industry, preferably within the Midwest region. Strong knowledge of metal packaging products and applications is a plus. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel extensively within the assigned Midwest territory (50% travel). Preferred Experience: Experience working with national retail chains and regional distributors. Familiarity with syndicated data platforms (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) and retail analytics. Background in launching new products or expanding into new markets.
