What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Initiate and nurture prospects via telephone and in-person to generate sales opportunities
- Maintain meticulous records of interactions with prospects in the CRM and track outreach activities weekly
- Build a robust funnel of new accounts and provide regular updates and forecasting to Sales Leadership
- Participate in national and regional tradeshows with thorough preparation and action plans
- Conduct high-level presentations of the employer's software offerings to potential customers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience
- Minimum of 5 years working in the telecom industry
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals
- Self-starter with a hunter attitude and a growth mindset
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team-based environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operations Support Systems (OSS)
- Familiarity with rural telecom markets including ILEC, CLEC, and Broadband sectors
- Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach to sales
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including overnight stays for customer visits and tradeshows
