About the Team:
Celebrating 50 years in business, Maple Tree Inn is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team. Serving award winning Cajun/Creole cuisine, paired with an accomplished & hand-crafted bar program, Maple Tree Inn is excited to hire an Assistant Manager. We are a passionate and dedicated team of hospitality veterans who support each other and treat our guests, many of whom have been coming to Maple Tree Inn for decades, like family.

Position Summary:
We are looking for someone who has a heart to serve people. In joining our leadership team, you will work with a group of consummate industry professionals, who are veterans at their craft. Responsibilities:
The following responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist the General Manager in daily operations and staff management.
  • Oversee front-of-house staff to ensure high-quality customer service.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
  • Train and mentor new employees to uphold our service standards.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback with professionalism.
  • Assist in creating and executing promotional events and specials.
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements:
  • Illinois Manager Food Sanitation certificate required.
  • Illinois BASSET certificate required.
  • Illinois Allergen certificate required.
  • Illinois Sexual Harassment training required.
  • Previous experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and restaurant management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional service.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. (We are closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day)
