The Sherwin-Williams Retail Management & Sales Development Program is an exciting opportunity designed to prepare you for a leadership role in Store Management within 18-24 months. Embracing Sherwin-Williams' promote-from-within philosophy, you'll have a clear path to become an Assistant Store Manager upon completing an intensive 8-week training program. In this role, you will work approximately 44 hours a week, which may include evenings and weekends. You will partner with store management to oversee a multi-million-dollar business and provide critical leadership and insight into the store's strategy and operations. Throughout the program, you will immerse yourself in all aspects of store operations, engaging with clients and developing strategies that drive success for both the store and Sherwin-Williams. Your sales efforts will focus on large commercial clients, including painting contractors and manufacturers, ensuring you make a significant impact on our market share. Support strategies to enhance sales and profitability. Deliver exceptional customer service for high levels of satisfaction. Maintain product knowledge to effectively advise customers. Foster positive relationships with both wholesale and retail clients. Handle store administrative tasks. Ensure adherence to policies regarding safety and security. Uphold high standards of store condition and visual merchandising. Assist in employee training, performance management, and development. Address and resolve customer and employee concerns. Collaborate with Store Manager on outside sales efforts to boost market share. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age. Authorized to work in the country without sponsorship. Valid, unrestricted Driver's License. Bachelor's degree by program start date. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently, and 70 lbs occasionally. Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 year of experience in retail, sales, or customer service. 1 year of leadership experience in a supervisory role. Experience in team-oriented settings like work or extracurricular teams. Familiarity with selling paint and related products. Experience using CRM systems or timekeeping software. Willingness to relocate for job advancement opportunities. Fluency in more than one language, especially Spanish, is a plus.
