Retail Sales Trainer

The Retail Sales Trainer is a positive, energetic team player dedicated to the success and development of Belle Tire employees. This position is responsible for conducting training for employees at all levels, working with the Retail Operations team to understand and address their needs, and supporting the training development team to create learning opportunities for Belle Tire employees.
What You'll Do
Conducts face-to-face training programs following outlines and facilitator guides on topics including customer service, point of sale system, phone call handling, national accounts, glass quote system, vehicle systems, etc.
Conducts one-on-one training and coaching in stores
Acts as subject matter expert for the Training Development team, providing content, reviewing materials, and participating in beta and pilot reviews
Recognizes and communicates continuous improvement opportunities to Director of Training
Conducts and/or participates in train-the-trainer activities
Evaluates the transfer of skills and knowledge back to the job after training through store visits, etc.
Partners with the Directors of Retail Operations to identify and address needs in assigned communities
Use Belle Tire Academy to support instruction
Supports, follows, and promotes Belle Tire policies and procedures
Maintains classroom facilities and equipment
Maintains a safe learning environment
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Training
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
Travel required, including overnight stays, up to 75% of time
Minimum of 5 years in a retail or automotive setting occupying a leadership position
Demonstrates a commitment to high quality service to internal and external customers
Demonstrates "Walk the Walk" mentality of Belle Tire's core beliefs
Demonstrates strong classroom management and facilitation skills
Ability and desire to facilitate others' learning inside and outside the classroom
Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, in an engaging manner, and with confidence in front of a group
Drive to learn new work-related skills and knowledge and seek out development opportunities
Ability to demonstrate and promote safe work habits and procedures
Ability to work independently and self-motivate
Strong desire and ability to collaborate within and outside the Training team
Demonstrates high energy, enthusiastic, positive attitude
Ability to understand and meet the needs of internal customers
Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple concurrent tasks
Ability to explain facts, concepts, processes, and procedures in multiple ways to learners of varying skill, knowledge, and experience levels as well as varying temperaments
Ability to complete tasks thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner
General knowledge of learning management systems (current LMS provider Cornerstone)
Proficiency in the use of relevant computer software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Snag It)
Preferred Qualifications:
Five years in a training facilitation role
Two years in a training development role
Bachelor's degree preferred
Work Environment
The position is based in an office environment, requiring periods of sitting and the operation of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and other office tools. Work hours are typically 8-5, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend hours as needed. Travel required, including overnight stays, up to 75% of time
