Responsibleforallactivitiesrelatedtoleadership,direction,andresourcesforanetworkofemployeesandindependentsalesreps.TheRVP/VPwillworkwitheachrepofficetoevaluatestrengthsandchallengesandsuggestopportunitiesanddevelopprogramsforsuccess.Willberesponsibleforaligningsalesobjectiveswithcompanystrategywhilebeingheldaccountablefortheprofitableachievementofsalesgoals.
EssentialPOSITIONFunctions
LeadershipFunctionsandResponsibilities:
Alignsthebusinesstocompanygoalsandsalesobjectivesthroughactiveparticipationinstrategicplanning,gapstrategydevelopment,forecasting,salesresourceplanning,andbudgeting.
Meetsassignedtargetsforprofitablesalesvolume,marketshare,andotherkeyfinancialperformanceobjectives.Leadandmanagethesalesorganizationutilizingsalesactionplans,expensebudgets,competitivelyvaluedproposals,andhighlytargetedsalescampaigns,whileoperatingwithinestablishedbudgetaryandbusinessguidelines.
Prepareanddeliversalespresentationstocloselargeopportunities.Actassalesleaderandcompanyrepresentativetocustomers,assesstheneedforseniorsalesorexecutiveleadershiptoparticipateinorbepresentforcustomermeetingsandnextsteps.
Handlesescalatedsalesissuesandassistsinprovidingcustomer - facingrepresentationtoresolveanyconcernsonbehalfofthecompany.
RepresentativeManagementResponsibilities:
Leadslearninganddevelopmentinitiativesimpactingthesalesorganizationandprovidesstewardshipofsalesandsalesmanagementtalent.TheRVP/VPoverseestheeffectivedeliveryoftraininganddevelopmentprogramstotheirteams,activelymonitorslearninganddevelopmentoutcomestoensureactiveengagementandimplementationindailyactivities.
Providesleadershipandmotivationtothesalesteam,whilefosteringacultureofaccountability,trust,adaptability,professionaldevelopment,high - performance,andethicalbehavior.Developandmodelstherightbehaviorsforthesalesteamthroughon -the- jobtraining,coaching,andmanagingtoperformancestandards.
Leadssalesorganizationschangeinitiativesbycontinuouslyassessingtheneedsofsalesandpartneringwithseniorsalesleaderstoraiseconcernsandprovidesolutions,bestpractices,andofferimprovementswhilesimultaneouslyremovingobstacles,inlinewithcompanyestablishedguidelines.
PartnerswithotherRVPs,functionalsharedservicessuchasFinance,HR,andITtosupportkeyinitiatives,budgetplanningcycles.
Leadershipresponsibilitiesincludeinterviewing,hiring,andtrainingemployees ; planning,assigning,anddirectingworkofsalesleadersandteamsappraisingperformance ; rewardinganddiscipliningemployees ; addressingcomplaintsandresolvingproblems.
MarketFunctionsandResponsibilities:
Establishesandmaintainsproductivepeer -to- peerrelationshipswithcustomersandprospects.
Monitorsandanalyzescompetitivetrendsacrosstheregiontoactivelyassistsalesteamsindevelopingterritorysalesstrategies.Workindependentlyandinclosecooperationwithsalestofosterandsecureopportunities,includingdevelopingandrefiningpresentations,RFPresponses,paneldiscussionsetc.
Studyandcommunicatemarkettrendsandmanageexpertconsultingwhilefosteringrelationshipswithdistrictadministratorsandkeycontactstoheightenawarenessofthecompany,themission,andtheproductsandservices.
Maintaincommunicationwithkeycustomersbydevelopingclosebusinessrelationshipstomonitormarketconditionswhileremainingalerttonewbusinessopportunitiesandtoensureon - goingaccountservicinginamannerthatmaximizescustomersatisfaction.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
BachelorsdegreefromaccreditedU.Sbasedcollegeinbusinessadministration,marketing,orrelatedfieldofstudyisrequired.
Atotalprofessionalexperiencebaseofatleast5years,withpriorexperiencesellingandasaSalesteamleader.
Specificexperiencesellingintotheeducation/schoolindustry
Aproventrackrecordofperformance,wheretimelinesareachieved,anddeadlinesareconsistentlymetdetailorientedanddriventosucceed.
ExperiencewithMicrosoftOfficeisrequired.
TRAVEL:Mustbewillingtotravelasneeded,typicallylessthan20%.
