ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing.
The job scope is to drive and support sales efforts in a given sales region/territory by implementing the sales/marketing strategies for services and reagents in that region/territory. The Sales Account Manager will use his/her knowledge of science and business including corporate contacts to develop and deliver profitable initiatives and build sales in the assigned region/territory. This role will support the San Francisco Bay Area territory and it is required that the candidate reside within the area.
Key Responsibilities Support the Regional Sales Account Manager (RSAM) to grow and develop GenScript services/products in an assigned sales region/territory.
Work closely with the Technical Account Management (TAM) team, Project Management (PM) team and Marketing team to build the GenScript brand and meet team objectives (Sales Goals, Profit Goals, and KPIs).
Contribute to the development and implementation of Regional sales strategies and tactics for services and products as required.
Explore and develop new markets and new applications for current services/products.
Collaborate with RSAM, TAM, and Director of Sales to develop an action plan designed to secure business in a competitive environment.
Understand basic selling techniques and develop customer needs by following the sales process to match customer research applications with GenScript services and products.
Introduce GenScript to new potential markets in Industrial/Academic/Government organizations.
Build and expand a business reference/referral network to grow new business opportunities.
Distribution Channel management as directed by RSAM.
Daily Activities Include Contacting and qualifying Marketing Qualified leads, nurturing and routing them to the respective sales manager.
Follow up on quotes/proposals to win opportunities by overcoming objections and cross-selling/up-selling GenScript services/products.
Follow up with existing clients to expand base business by cross-selling/up-selling.
Generate new leads and opportunities by researching businesses via LinkedIn, company websites, Google and related directories.
Maintain CRM records to ensure accuracy of customer account information.
Occasional field travel as required.
Qualifications Academic degree in scientific discipline; Master level or higher in life sciences preferred.
Relevant Sales experience preferred with technical and professional expertise.
Knowledge of the Biological and CRO market, with emphasis on Molecular Biology and Peptide chemistry.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; English language mandatory. Multi-lingual communication skills a plus: German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Mandarin preferred.
Ability to solve practical problems and resolve customer issues that may occur.
Ability to operate effectively and succeed in an international business environment.
Self-motivated, driven with a sense of urgency.
