SALES ADVISOR

Chapman Ford Sales is looking to expand our Sales Team. If you have always wanted to sell cars or are a car enthusiast, now is your opportunity. We offer a flexible schedule and onsite training with a sales professional mentor.
The Sales advisor is directly responsible for selling new and used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:
· Conducts self in a manner which is consistent with guaranteeing satisfaction to customers.
· Determines each customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.
· Demonstrates new vehicles (includes test drives).
· Delivers new vehicles to customers. This process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.
· Attends sales meetings.
· Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
· Maintains prospect development system.
· Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefit to customers.
· Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
· Reports to the New or Used Vehicle Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews and analyses.
· Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
· Understands the terminology of the automobile business and keeps abreast of technological changes in the product.
· Knows and understands equity and values, and has the ability to explain depreciation to the customer.
· Knows and understands the federal, state and local laws, which govern retail auto sales.
· Introduces customers to Service Department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of the dealership’s service operations.
Non-Essential job tasks:
Assist in snow removal and snow clean up
Qualifications:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information, both written and oral. High School diploma or the equivalent. Valid in-state driver’s license. Excellent communication skills. Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.
Special Position Requirements:
Position has no supervisory responsibility or authority. Works closely with New and Used Sales Managers and General Sales Manager. Works closely with Sales Consultants. Heavy customer contact.
Preferences:
Prior auto sales experience.
Work Requirements:
Monday-Friday/Saturday
Occasional overtime may be required
