Job Description The Direct Sales Agent Specialist at Peco Insurance plays a key role in helping transportation businesses and drivers secure the coverage they need. This role focuses on selling commercial auto and transportation-related policies, building trusted client relationships, and driving new business growth. Agents are expected to: Sell commercial transportation insurance (trucking fleets, owner-operators, cargo, etc.). Provide solutions to business owners and drivers, tailored to their unique needs. Cross-sell additional products such as life, health, and accident coverage. Build and maintain community and business relationships to generate leads. Deliver excellent customer service, including processing payments and assisting with policy updates. Key Responsibilities Achieve sales targets through new business acquisition and client retention. Stay updated on underwriting guidelines and compliance requirements. Actively market and prospect transportation businesses in the local community. Maintain knowledge of competitors and recommend strategies to strengthen Peco's market position. Leverage referrals and community networks (dealers, trucking associations, etc.) to expand your book of business. Education & Licensing 2+ years of sales experience (preferred). All agents must obtain a Florida Insurance License. Please verify qualifications with the Florida Department of Financial Services for a 440 Customer Representative License or 220 General Lines Agent License online, before applying. Compensation Unlicensed Candidates: $17.00 per hour (based on experience). Licensed Candidates: $20.00 per hour (requires active license + minimum 6 months of P&C sales experience). Total compensation includes commission and bonuses based on performance.
