Sales and Business Development Representative

- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, economics, engineering, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Preferred Knowledge/Experience in:
- Sales, business development, or customer service
- CRM Software (e.g. Salesforce)
- STEM degree or demonstratable interest in material sciences
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential clients
- Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for expanding the customer base
- Collaborate with the applications & research team to become well-versed with our technology
- Occasional travel to attend meetings with clients to understand their needs and present company products and services
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and sales contracts
- Track sales activities and follow up on leads to achieve sales targets
- Assist in negotiating and closing business deals
- Maintain accurate records of sales and business development activities
Type of Employment
- Full Time, non-exempt; 40 hours a week; Monday-Friday
Location
- Hybrid- Headquarters are in Spencer Massachusetts. Expected to be onsite regularly.
