What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Inspire, mentor, and manage the Sales & Marketing team while fostering a collaborative environment - Develop and execute innovative, data-driven sales and marketing plans leveraging various platforms - Oversee domestic and international sales, manage key accounts, and seek new business opportunities - Prepare and manage departmental budgets, sales forecasts, and comprehensive reports - Strengthen relationships with vendors, sales agents, and distributors while negotiating contracts
What is Required (Qualifications): - Minimum of 3 years of publishing industry experience - Proven leadership skills with experience in mentoring and maintaining an inclusive team environment - Proficiency in sales forecasting, budget management, and data analysis - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Familiarity with marketing tools, metadata systems, and social media platforms
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Masters Degree in the arts, humanities, or related field - Experience in university press publishing - Knowledge of trends in academic and trade publishing, including open access and print-on-demand technologies
