FIRE PROTECTION SALES/SERVICE TECHNICIAN

This role is crucial for ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of fire protection systems within commercial facilities. This includes sales, installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of fire protection systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting systems.
Compensation packages reward hard working people for their efforts. Potential compensation for the first year is $45,000 to $60,000 …with the potential for top performers to earn more!
Job Duties:
Sell services and products within assigned territory, maintaining assigned sales/service quota and following established guidelines.
Inspect, service, install fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and exit/emergency lighting.
Identify prospects utilizing creative lead generating techniques.
Present sales presentation and proposal to prospects, identifying positive features and advantages of our products and services over those of the competition.
Follow up with prospects.
Process work orders and complete all paperwork in accordance with approved and standardized procedures.
Service existing book of business and new customers.
Core Competencies:
Proficient computer skills in Windows based software and MS office 2000 or higher.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Good organizational skills.
Must have valid driver's license and a good driving record that meets company requirements
Strong analytical and mechanical aptitude
Excellent interpersonal skills
Must possess strong communication, negotiating, and time management skills
Flexible Style; perseverance; action oriented; interpersonal savvy
Aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach); customer focused
Ability to work a full time schedule

Physical Requirements & Exposures:
Must be in good physical condition with no limitations.
Must be willing to work outdoors in inclement weather.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds
Must be able to carry 50 pounds repeatedly
Must be able to push greater than 100 pounds as needed
Must be able to pull greater than 100 pounds as needed
Must be able to safely climb a ladder and reach a height of at least 12 ft.
This position may require the handling of chemicals that may be skin and/or respiratory irritants. Person may also be exposed to ventilation areas which may have respiratory irritant. Must not be skin and respiratory sensitive to these materials and environments. MSDS are available.
Candidates must successfully complete an employment background investigation and drug screening.
