Position Summary

The Sales Assistant will support the Target account team at Mad Engine by assisting with sales operations, account management, and cross-functional coordination. This role will ensure smooth execution of projects from product concept through final delivery. The Sales Assistant will play a critical part in preparing sales presentations, tracking orders, managing inventory, and handling Target-specific requests to help drive sales growth and strengthen the partnership with Target.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Account & Project Management

  • Support the Target Sales team in managing timelines, deliverables, and project requests.
  • Collaborate closely with internal design, merchandising, and production teams to fulfill Target-specific needs.
  • Organize and prepare Target sales presentations, ensuring all materials are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Track key Target programs and support seasonal initiatives, line reviews, and assortments.

Order Processing & Tracking

  • Work with internal teams to accurately complete Target sales order forms, ensuring consistency across buy plans, comps, and order details.
  • Partner with licensing teams to track and secure necessary approvals prior to production.
  • Monitor Target inventory levels and assist in blank tracking to avoid delays.
  • Partner with the costing team to secure approved costing for Target programs, aligning with margin requirements.
  • Support the Account Management team to ensure all Target orders remain on schedule and troubleshoot any order-related issues.
  • Manage sample submissions for Target, ensuring quality and compliance with all Target standards.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Act as liaison between the Target division and internal departments (design, production, logistics, finance, etc.).
  • Assist in Target-specific reporting, sales recaps, and market research.
  • Ensure compliance with Target guidelines, processes, and vendor requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales support, account management, or retail operations (experience with Target or other mass retailers is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (experience with internal order entry systems a plus).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Full-time availability, Monday through Friday.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, use hands, and communicate effectively.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
