Job Summary: As a Sales Manager at Prosperity Home Mortgage, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the sales activities of our Mortgage Consultants. Reporting directly to the Regional Mortgage Manager, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service while driving the generation of high-quality loans. This position involves personal production responsibilities and overseeing a team of three to five Mortgage Consultants. Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to meet production goals and foster a motivated, efficient team environment. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Collaborate in the development of a comprehensive business plan for the loan production office that aligns with Prosperity Home Mortgage's overall sales strategy.
Performance Management: Set and exceed production goals for the loan production office. Monitor team performance, establish clear objectives, and implement effective policies and procedures.
Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and train new Mortgage Consultants. Manage personnel-related matters including performance reviews, employee development, and conflict resolution to maintain a professional and productive work environment.
Client Relations: Actively promote Prosperity Home Mortgage and its product offerings. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring timely and accurate loan processing and closings.
Communication: Clearly convey company policies, procedures, and underwriting requirements to set realistic expectations for clients. Provide regular updates on loan status to all stakeholders.
Market Development: Drive personal production goals and contribute to overall market share by sourcing residential mortgages from a variety of channels, including realtors, builders, and other non-traditional sources.
Quality Control: Balance loan production with quality assurance by adhering to company standards for accuracy and minimizing fallout. Maintain detailed records of all branch production activities.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, state and federal laws, and internal policies relevant to mortgage lending activities.
Additional Responsibilities: Participate in ongoing sales training and product knowledge sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and company objectives. Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of - years’ experience as a loan originator, processor, or underwriter, with at least years in a supervisory role.
Must possess a valid Mortgage Loan Originator license through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) for all applicable states.
In-depth knowledge of mortgage products, policies, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
Proven track record of effective team leadership and employee development.
Exceptional sales and negotiation skills with a focus on customer service.
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Proficient reading and mathematical skills.
Willingness and ability to travel locally to establish and maintain relationships with industry partners.
