We're looking for an active customer-focused team player with exceptional sales skills to be the next sales manager at our busy hotel. You'll be in charge of developing a sales plan that includes soliciting new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets via outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking. Responsibilities

•Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and networking in the local community
•Develop and maintain connections with important group and catering accounts in order to maintain and expand our market share
•Attend various industry tradeshows and conferences as a professional representative of the hotel, while adhering to the budget and marketing plan requirements
•Plan and compile the department budget in accordance with the hotel's overall sales objectives and strategy, with the assistance of the director of sales and marketing
•Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities

Qualifications

•Hilton experience preferred
•Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a bachelor's degree in business or a similar field a plus
•Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively
•Stays organized and manage time well
•3 or more years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality
•Prior experience working in the hospitality sector is required
