Sales Operations Analyst

Position Purpose: Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, all functions relating to managing customer volume rebates and external manufacturers commissions processes.
Principle Accountabilities
Own and manage the volume rebates process internally and with customers.
Own and manage the monthly commission process internally and with manufacturer reps.
Manage the creation, disbursement, and tracking of rebate contracts.
Liaison between sales and finance, owning accruals, forecasts, and all related functions ensuring effective communication and analysis to finance department.
Ensure timely and accurate periodic payments per contracts using various systems.
Validate and confirm accurate commissions based on contracts.
Validate and confirm customer deductions based on rebate contracts.
Collaborate with legal to ensure acceptable language on externally derived contracts.
Ensure compliance with Internal Controls and Sarbanes Oxley in all areas of accountability.
Engage with all levels of sales organization to accurately resolve issues and/or related inquiries.
Proactively provide analysis on periodic basis to communicate effectiveness of rebate performance as well as perform "what-if" analysis to sales management to assist in driving negotiations and decision making.
Provide financial reporting for sales leadership regarding business review meetings.
Complete timely reconciliations of rebate contract accruals and payments and research any discrepancies.
Coordinate and communicate changes of ERP system customer master data.
Participate as a project team member to identify process inefficiencies and provide creative solutions to improve the function, reliability, and quality of the process, including process documentation.
Proactively identify and provide solutions to potential problems and resolutions alone and/or through working with other cross functional departments.
Use SQL query software effectively to pull data and create reports.
Develop, manage and implement best practices.
Any ad hoc requests in your area of accountability.
Related tasks as requested by supervisor.
Essential Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university preferred.
3+ years of professional work experience within accounting, sales analysis or related functions with high volume productivity in corporate environment.
Advanced to Expert level in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot tables, and proficient in other Microsoft Office products
Working knowledge of, or willingness and determination to learn SQL query software.
Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities and continue to meet deadlines.
Must have a strong attention to detail.
Capacity to learn quickly and adapt to change.
Ability to multi-task in competing priorities, keeping in mind deadlines and monthly cycles.
Ability to professionally and respectfully push back/suggest adversely to opinion based on financial data.
Takes ownership of responsibilities and has sense of urgency.
Innovative problem solver with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations to all levels of the organization.
