Position Summary: We’re looking for a proactive, detail-driven team member to support part of our custom manufacturing business by owning the flow of customer orders from quote to delivery. In this role, you’ll be the operational link between our customers, engineers, and production floor—processing RFQs, managing inventory needs, creating work orders, and keeping projects on track.
You’ll work with customer drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs), helping to source the right components and ensuring materials are ordered, received, and kitted on time. The ideal candidate is organized, technically curious, and comfortable navigating order management systems and customer communications. Sales and Customer Order Processing: Create opportunity / projects in Salesforce. Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and other tracking systems. Receive RFQ’s (Request for Quote) from customers or sales dept and upload information into the proper files. Prepare and send customer quotes. Process customer purchase orders and generate corresponding sales orders. Convert sales orders into work orders for production. Create all work orders for each line on sales orders. Allocate and track materials required for builds. Allocate and receive all work orders. Communicate with customers regarding schedules, changes, and order status.
Materials & Inventory Management: Identify and source stock for components listed in customer cable drawings. Create and manage BOMs (Bills of Materials) from customer-provided drawings. Order all required materials for sales and work orders. Receive, inspect, and kit incoming materials by project. Maintain inventory accuracy, including Kanban system management. Post scanned work orders, sales orders, and any additional required materials to project records.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Sales Force, Outlook and Apple Devices. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation habits Skilled at managing competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment Ability to troubleshoot issues related to orders, inventory, or material discrepancies Able to work efficiently under pressure with frequent interruptions, while maintaining accuracy Proven ability to build strong working relationships across departments (sales, engineering, production) Effective verbal and written communicator with internal teams and external customers Ability to coach and train others, sharing process knowledge and system expertise as needed Works well in both independent and team-based environments
Education and Experience Preferred: Associate’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
Compensation details: 22-26 Hourly Wage
