At Neogen, we protect the world's food supply, safeguard animal and human health, and contribute to a better future. We're looking for an experienced S&OP Director to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Sourcing & Planning, this highly visible role will lead our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process across key business units. You will align supply and demand to support strategic business goals, drive accountability, deliver on key KPIs, and continuously improve planning processes. This role is critical to ensuring cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to achieve accurate forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory optimization.
Location: Hybrid in Southfield, Michigan
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate the regional and executive monthly S&OP process, driving consensus between commercial, planning, operations, and finance functions.
Translate strategic objectives into functional and operational S&OP plans that guide supply chain execution.
Own the demand planning and supply balancing process, identifying risks, constraints, and opportunities.
Manage and develop an S&OP Analyst to ensure a consistent approach in the S&OP process across all business units.
Recommend and implement process improvements, tools, and reporting enhancements to increase forecasting accuracy and decision-making.
Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align supply chain capabilities with business needs.
Develop and monitor KPIs related to forecast accuracy, service level, inventory health, and capacity utilization.
Participate in scenario planning, business reviews, and budget forecasting activities.
Ensure planning activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or APICS/IBF certification is a plus.
8+ years of experience in supply chain planning, with at least 2 years in a S&OP leadership role.
Proven track record in S&OP process implementation and improvement in a complex, global environment.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in planning tools (e.g., SAP, Solomon, PBI, John Galt, etc.) and Excel.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage change, drive collaboration, and deliver results under tight timelines.
