Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join our team in the hardwoods lumber industry. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales through inside sales efforts while also having the flexibility to engage in outside sales activities as needed. This position is ideal for an individual who is self-motivated, customer-oriented, and eager to grow within the company.
As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:
Managing and growing existing customer accounts through both inbound and outbound sales efforts Responding to customer inquiries, processing orders, and providing accurate product information Building strong relationships with customers, identifying their needs, and offering tailored solutions Actively prospecting new business opportunities through phone calls, email, and face-to-face meetings (as needed) Attending trade shows, customer meetings, and other events to promote company products and build brand awareness Collaborating with the operations and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of market trends, product offerings, and competitor activity Meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs
Key Qualifications:
Previous experience in sales, within the hardwoods, lumber, or construction industry is a must Strong communication and negotiation skills Ability to manage a high volume of customer interactions through various channels (phone, email, in-person) Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset A valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for outside sales responsibilities) Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
