Summary
Provides exceptional customer service by selling, servicing, and delivering products from the manufacturer to business and industrial establishments. This role involves the following responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
- Primary responsibility is fieldwork, involving travel to customer locations to service accounts, present new products, and sell additional offerings, including technology, sales programs, and services, while ensuring timely delivery.
- Processes sales orders and schedules sales calls to fulfill orders and address equipment needs.
- Regularly visits potential customers to secure in-person sales orders.
- Communicates all completed sales invoices to the corporate office daily.
- Conducts daily inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure compliance with maintenance and safety standards.
- Maintains adequate inventory to effectively service each assigned account and prevent back-orders.
- Accurately reports all daily activities using company-provided tools.
Customer Sales Services include but are not limited to:
- Addressing customer inquiries and complaints.
- Demonstrating equipment functions, troubleshooting issues, and determining whether problems are due to user error or mechanical breakdown; manages action plans for repair and performs minor field repairs as necessary, documenting findings accordingly.
- Seeking approval for all equipment installations or placements from the regional sales manager and general manager.
- Displaying and demonstrating products using samples or catalogs, highlighting key features; gathering and updating customer data as needed.
- Assisting with product and equipment training for customers.
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring all products and marketing materials are properly displayed and available.
- Handling customer return requests with required approvals and processing returns and credits promptly.
- Reviewing sales reports to monitor equipment "on loan" for return on investment per company guidelines, developing action plans as needed, and resolving customer concerns, including payment issues.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or three to six years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination. Must possess familiarity with industry concepts, practices, and procedures, relying on experience and judgment to achieve objectives.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Proficient in calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; applies basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Reasoning Ability:
Demonstrates common sense and problem-solving abilities in various situations.
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of SharePoint, Company Contact Management systems, PowerPoint, Adobe, QuarkXPress, Outlook, web browsers, webinar platforms, mobile order management and order processing systems, Excel, and Word.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Other Qualifications:
Must be willing and able to travel as required to service and support assigned accounts.
