Overview
Sales Solutions Architect at Snowflake, part of the Professional Services team. This role focuses on both selling Snowflake Professional Services engagements and delivering sold/billable engagements. The ideal candidate is hands-on and self-motivated, able to connect business problems to Snowflake solutions and communicate this vision to both technical and executive audiences. The role can be based anywhere in the Central Time Zone, ideally in Texas; however, we can be flexible for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Present Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at customer organizations.
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor to key customer stakeholders with a focus on achieving their desired business outcomes.
- Partner with Professional Services Practice Directors and Practice Managers to identify, iterate, and scope proposals and Statements of Work, for both packaged services and custom time-and-materials projects.
- Collaborate with Snowflake sales executives and account teams on opportunity development and overall account strategy.
- Lead on-site technical and use-case workshops, facilitate video conference meetings, address deep-dive technical questions, and contribute to public-facing evangelism about Snowflake (e.g., LinkedIn, Medium).
- Aggregate and communicate themes and questions from customer meetings to inform delivery teams and identify opportunities to evolve service offerings.
- Drive project teams toward goals that accelerate the adoption of Snowflake solutions.
- Demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake throughout paid engagements—from demos and proofs of concept to workshops, design sessions, and implementation with customers and stakeholders.
- Create repeatable processes and documentation from customer engagements.
- Collaborate on industry-based solutions relevant to other customers to drive more value from Snowflake.
- Follow best practices, including knowledge transfer to enable customers to extend Snowflake capabilities themselves.
- Maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and how to position Snowflake relative to them.
Qualifications
Our ideal Sales Solutions Architect will have:
- University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a solutions architect, data architect, database administrator, or data engineer.
- Minimum 2 years of practical Snowflake experience, leading or participating in services engagements.
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of the full data analytics stack and workflow—from ETL and data platform design to BI and analytics tools.
- Hands-on experience in a technical role (SQL, data warehousing, cloud data, analytics, or ML/AI).
- Extensive knowledge of large-scale database technology (e.g., Snowflake, Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum) with data science/AI/ML use cases; OR experience with AI/ML model development and tools (e.g., SageMaker, DBx, Azure ML) along with familiarity with common ML libraries (scikit-learn, xgboost, PyTorch, pandas, etc.).
- Software development experience with Python, Java, Spark, and other scripting languages.
- Proficiency in implementing data security measures and access controls within the Snowflake platform.
- Internal and/or external consulting experience.
- Impeccable communication skills—written, visual, and oral—and the ability to engage audiences from hands-on technologists to C-suite executives.

- Big 5 Consulting experience.
- Experience selling or supporting the sales process of technical services at the enterprise level.
- Experience with non-relational platforms and tools for large-scale data processing (e.g., Hadoop, HBase).
- Familiarity with BI and data exploration tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, Looker, Tableau).
- OLAP data modeling and data architecture experience.
- Expertise in a core vertical such as Financial Services, Retail, Media & Entertainment, Healthcare, Life Sciences, etc.
- Current certifications in cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) or cloud data technologies (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, Databricks, etc.).

Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: Base salary range is $153,000 – $218,600, with eligibility for Snowflake’s bonus and equity plans.
- Starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location.
