Job Title: Sales Supervisor and Customer Service Location: Brooklyn, NY
Industry: Manufacturing Position Summary: The Customer Service and Sales Supervisor plays a critical role in managing key customer accounts, processing incoming orders, coordinating transportation and logistics, and supporting the company’s sales growth strategy. This role requires a proactive leader with strong communication and organizational skills, capable of managing both existing accounts and new customer acquisition initiatives.

Key Responsibilities: Order Management & Customer Communication:
Receive and process daily customer orders via phone, email, and internal systems
Confirm feasible delivery dates in collaboration with production management
Update and maintain the daily production schedule
Send order confirmations after shipment dates are finalized
Provide customers with timely updates regarding order status and shipment information
Maintain open order files and production status tracking
Freight & Logistics Coordination:
Arrange cost-effective LTL and full truckload shipments
Negotiate rates with brokers and carriers
Coordinate pickups, track deliveries, and resolve shipping issues
Reconcile freight invoices with accounting
Customer Account Management:
Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring consistent satisfaction and retention
Develop new business opportunities in line with the company’s sales strategy
Prepare credit reference documentation for new customers and liaise with accounting for verification
Administrative Duties:
Maintain a structured digital filing system for customer documentation
Conduct market research to support customer acquisition and strategic sales planning
Required Experience & Skills:
5+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or account management—preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment
Working knowledge of freight and transportation logistics
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or related field
Valid driver’s license
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Office-based role with occasional walkthroughs of the manufacturing plant
Regular use of phone, computer, and office equipment
Must be able to remain seated for extended periods
Light physical activity (lifting up to 10 lbs occasionally)
Occasional travel required (3–5 times per year, domestic only)
Authority & Decision-Making:
Oversight of order processing and distribution
Approval of shipping terms and rates
Collaboration with production for scheduling and priority decisions
Customer issue resolution, credit processing, and invoice review
