POSITION SUMMARY:
The Winter Park Ski & Ride School is currently accepting applications for a seasonal Support Administrative Assistant. The position reports directly to the Guest Service Manager and provides informational support to guests regarding Ski & Ride School daily class lessons, Kids Special Programs, Adult Specialty Clinics, Private Lessons, and general information about Ski + Ride School and Winter Park Resort. The support agent will facilitate all aspects of the Kids Multi-Week Programs that run four months long and includes assisting guests in registration, refunds and fielding complaints and questions. They will also facilitate all aspects of lesson pack registrations, cancelations, and changes. The support agent will work as a liaison with Ski & Ride School Supervisory staff and Guest Service staff to compile reports, screen guests pre-arrival, and resolve general guest issues such as refunds, cancellations, etc. They will also assist the Private Lesson Center Lead with duties of responsibility concerning money, assisting other GS Agents with guest-related situations, backing up the Private Lesson Center Lead during busy times, and assuming his/her duties during the Leads absence.
Employees in this position are expected to consistently provide excellent guest service, obtain an excellent working knowledge of WPSRS product offerings, and obtain an excellent working knowledge of the computerized ticketing system and reporting procedures. Interested applicants must possess a High School diploma or equivalent (GED), have one year of cashiering experience, retail sale and experience with a multi-line telephone system and retail/data entry computer systems. Bachelors degree in marketing, advertising or communications preferred. Other qualifications include: the ability to demonstrate exemplary guest service philosophy and problem-solving techniques, good verbal communication and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
WAGE:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Hourly pay range: $22/HR
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- An excellent working knowledge of all Winter Park Ski & Ride School services and operations for Adults and Kids: daily products, special programs, prices, ability levels, times and dates, age groups, childcare procedures.
- Professionally Handle calls from guests with specific Ski & Ride School questions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- An ability to write professional letters and compile reports.
- Professionally handle guest complaints and help solve guest problems.
- Process Kids Special Programs and Adult Specialty Clinic registrations. Field calls from guests in regard to Special Programs and camps questions. Work with the Sales lead and the Special Programs Supervisor on the coordination of special programs and clinics by providing rosters and other needed information.
- Administer guest follow-up contact as needed.
- Resolve guest issues through investigation of prior purchase history.
- Work directly with Central Reservations and Guest Services on POS issues as need arises.
- Maintain a friendly, congenial and helpful attitude while effectively dealing with guests and other employees. Show cooperation and pleasant attitude. Strive to facilitate an atmosphere of teamwork.
- Perform goal setting with instructors and follow up daily/weekly to help achievement of the determined goals
- Participate in the gathering of information and production of management reports as instructed by the Ski & Ride School Director, On Snow Operation Manager and/or on Snow Operations Supervisor.
- Maintain the management reporting system for sales operations, ensure daily security of space and monies, set alarm systems and secure vaults and vault room.
Maintain daily receivable charges. - Conduct and participate in regular staff trainings
Other Duties:
- Assist other Ski & Ride School jobs such as Administrative Manager, Administrative Supervisor, Private Lesson Desk and Guest Services as needed.
- Learn all SRS policies and procedures as well as on hill operations.
- Maintain sufficient supplies and ticket stock at workstations.
- Report and/or correct unsafe conditions regarding equipment, work area and ski area in general
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
- Education-High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Experience-One year cashiering experience, retail sales, accounting or equivalent. Experience with multi-line telephone system and retail data entry computer system. Guest service, typing/keyboarding and good communication skills desirable.
- Exceptional organizational and people skills.
