Position Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. The Sales Assistant will support day-to-day sales operations, assist customers with product inquiries and purchases, and ensure an organized and efficient sales environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and interest in the building materials or construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet customers and provide assistance in selecting products and materials

Offer product knowledge and support based on customer needs

Prepare sales quotes, process transactions, and complete sales paperwork

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the showroom and sales areas

Assist in restocking shelves and keeping inventory accurate and up-to-date

Coordinate with the yard and delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

Answer phones and respond to email inquiries in a professional manner

Support other team members and departments as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous retail or sales experience preferred (especially in lumber, hardware, or construction)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic math and computer skills (experience with POS systems is a plus)

Friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to learn
