Sample & Sales Support Specialist This position is responsible for managing the sample process (approximately 75% of responsibilities) while also supporting sales meetings, office operations, and customer-facing events (approximately 25%).
This position will report to the Sales Planning & Marketing Manager and provide dedicated support to the Michigan office, with a hybrid schedule of remote and in-office days.

Sample Orders (75%) Manage and oversee all DOT (Direct Order to Target) sample requests for assigned regions.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of sample orders, maintaining compliance with regulations. Maintain organized systems for tracking and documenting sample activity. Stay current on sample policy updates and communicate changes promptly to the sales team. Support direct-to-manufacturer sample requests, ensuring seamless coordination and timely delivery. Manage GFS Store samples, including tracking, replenishment, and disposal. Serve as the primary point of contact for all sample-related inquiries from internal teams, customers, and partners. Sales & Office Support (25%) Assist with packaging and preparation of samples for events. Provide administrative and logistical support for sales team meetings, trainings, and customer-facing events. Support general office operations for the Michigan office as needed (2–3 days per week in the Grand Rapids office). The role might be right for you if you have:
2+ years of customer service experience (food industry a plus).
Proficiency with internet software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Flexibility and enthusiasm for working within changing priorities. What to expect:
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Hybrid Work:
Remote work from home 2 days per week, in-office 3 days per week.
Travel:
Minimal, with annual meetings to connect with the full Sales Planning team.
