Responsibilities Greet all customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a smile Grow personal sales by meeting goals and following Scheels professional salesmanship standards to provide an above and beyond customer experience Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits Engage in conversation with customers and assist them in making buying decisions Demonstrate a passion for products and attend all product trainings and store meetings Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor Assist in all other assigned duties Perform basic math (rates, ratios, percentages) and interpret simple data Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills Communicate clearly with all levels of the organization Help with freight/stocking when needed Demonstrate product usage and retrieve products from heights of greater than 6 ft Compensation & Schedule Compensation: $17.00-$19.00 hourly DOE. Compensation includes base hourly wage and estimated commission potential. Day-time or evening availability is required, but day-time is preferred (to include two weekends per month). Average 20 hours per week. Qualifications Education & Experience The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and/or 1-3 months of sales experience. Physical & Lifting Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
