At RapidScale, we believe that exceptional technology is powered by exceptional people. We are on the lookout for a Senior Azure Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will support opportunities across the East coast, helping organizations innovate, adapt, and grow through secure and reliable managed and advisory services in private, public, and hybrid clouds. This position involves approximately 25-35% travel for conferences, partner offices, and customer sites. What You Will Be Doing: Providing Pre-Sales technical support to our go-to-market team to drive revenue and cloud adoption. Conducting comprehensive technical discovery and assessment workshops to identify pain points and gather business and technical requirements, including Well-Architected Reviews and Migration Readiness Assessments. Architecting client solutions that meet requirements using a well-architected framework methodology. Communicating proposed architectures clearly during the pre-sales cycle for early validation with internal teams. Acting as a technology evangelist by educating prospects and customers on the most suitable cloud solutions for their business needs. Collaborating with Product Marketing to provide feedback for enhancing product quality and capabilities based on field engagements. Contributing to the creation of technical collateral and aiding in the development of sales staff through formal training. Producing cost and labor estimates and Statements of Work (SOWs) for potential projects. Demonstrating thought leadership by speaking at industry events and publishing materials such as blog posts and white papers. Technical Skills We Are Seeking: Relevant certification required: AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect - Expert). Deep knowledge of public cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure and AWS. Understanding containerization and virtualization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. Familiarity with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Puppet, Ansible, ARM/Bicep, and Terraform. Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and data protection principles. Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks like PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR. Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, NoSQL). Expertise in networking, compute, storage, and OS fundamentals. General Attributes We Are Looking For: Enthusiastic self-starter who embraces new challenges. Analytical problem-solvers who can handle technical discussions and present effectively. Fluency in English is essential. Qualifications: A BA/BS Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, a MS Degree with 4+ years, or a Ph.D. with 1 year; alternatively, 10 years of experience without a degree. Professional-level public cloud certification (AWS, Azure, Google). Experience working within a sales team context. Willingness to speak at public events in front of large audiences is a plus. The salary range for this role is USD 151,400.00 - 227,200.00, with the possibility of an annual incentive/commission target of $52,800.00.
