The Sr. Manager, Sales Training - Care & Connectivity Solutions, is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training sessions aligned with business goals that enhance the sales force and support clinician skills and knowledge, with a focus on developing identified competencies to positively impact sales results within the Care & Connectivity Solutions teams.
Leading and upskilling Sales Training Managers is a multifaceted responsibility that requires a strategic approach to team development, continuous learning, and the implementation of practical training programs. By focusing on mentorship, professional development, and collaboration, we can ensure that our Sales Training Managers are well-equipped to enhance the skills of the sales force, ultimately driving better performance and achieving business objectives.
This role will have 3 direct reports (manager level).
What you'll be doing
Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations of Sales Training Managers. Offer constructive feedback and recognize achievements to foster a high-performance culture.
Provide guidance and support to Sales Training Managers, helping them to develop their skills and advance their careers. This includes regular one-on-one meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and professional development goals.
Foster a collaborative environment among the training team, encouraging knowledge sharing and teamwork. Organize team-building activities to strengthen relationships and improve communication.
This role involves delivering training sessions, workshops, and seminars using various instructional methods like in-person training, e-learning, and blended learning approaches. The manager ensures that training materials are relevant and up to date.
Composes and finalizes plans using modern learning approaches, crafting and implementing long-term programs passionate about a combination of formal instruction and experiential learning exercises.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Medical Affairs, to compose launch training plans, build training libraries, support launch metrics, and implement product launch strategies that meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.
A critical aspect of the role is to supervise and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. This includes analyzing sales performance data and feedback from participants to improve training content and delivery methods continuously.
Frequently communicates and presents to Commercial Leadership for ongoing strategic endorsement and support in existing and new training needs.
Capture feedback from the sales team regularly to continuously improve and find opportunities to supplement training for identifying gaps.
Project Lead to develop the new hire training program and ensure compliance and competencies are met.
Ensure curriculum is designed to accommodate progressive learning from fundamentals through sophisticated knowledge.
Identify trends and efficiencies for the sales force to optimize sales opportunities.
Travel up to 50% of the time (US and International).
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (focus in education, business, marketing, or instructional development related field preferred).
8 years field sales and/or sales training experience (Medical device, hospital capital equipment, medical device technology, healthcare IT preferred).
Previous people leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge of sales methodologies for hospital capital equipment products and solutions is preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with collaborators at various levels.
Consistent track record of delivering high-quality presentations that resonate with audiences at various learning levels.
Shown success working independently with sound decision-making skills.
Strong collaboration, planning, and organizational skills.
Background in inventive problem-solving and strategic decision-making.
High level of motivation and drive to work with a sense of urgency.
Demonstrated comprehension of the selling process - capability to understand and complete sales procedures.
Proficient use of virtual meeting platform(s).
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $136,000.00 to $187,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location.
