Senior Sales Director - Chartwells K-12 (Remote)
Chartwells K12 is seeking a Senior Sales Director to cover the Eastern and Western United States. This position focuses on developing trusted relationships within the nation’s largest school districts and leads to profitable market growth of new Chartwells K-12 school accounts as an individual contributor. The role is based near a major metropolitan airport in the Eastern or Western United States and requires extensive travel (up to 75%).
Salary: base $120,000 - $140,000 plus commissions. Benefits and additional compensation include annual bonus payouts, 401k, expense account, annual Sales Excellence trip (all expenses paid), company-provided vehicle, paid vacation, and opportunities for internal mobility and development.
Responsibilities:
Cultivate and develop new business opportunities via cold calling and prospecting
Develop multi-level client contacts and relationships in the K-12 market, engaging with Business Managers, Superintendents, and School Boards
Lead the sales process including survey organization and execution, presentations, proposal development and delivery, and closing and contract negotiations
Accountable for market new business growth
Qualifications:
Three to five years of sales experience (minimum)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
High energy, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Strong time and territory management skills
Computer literate including Microsoft Office products and CRM; familiarity with tools such as Adobe Acrobat, CoPilot, and ChatGPT
High degree of personal accountability, discipline, resilience, and integrity
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
Sales experience in the K-12 school market is preferred
