This position may be headquartered in the following counties: Sacramento County, Alameda County, Fresno County, or Los Angeles County.
Business travel will be required, with reimbursement based on the employee's designated headquarters office in accordance with regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. Please note that travel expenses related to commuting to the employee's headquarters office are not reimbursable, except for authorized transit subsidies.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for telework. In accordance with Government Code section 14200, only employees who reside in California are eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Covered California's current telework policy. While Covered California supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises, as determined by the Department.

Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate: At least five years of proven experience in sales operations, agent relations, and/or community outreach, preferably in health care or insurance.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee teams and initiatives.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to foster stakeholder engagement.
Strategic thinking and data analysis skills to drive business development and improve outcomes.
Knowledge of California's healthcare system and Covered California's mission.
Experience managing administrative activities such as budgeting, staffing, and performance evaluations.
Ability to travel statewide for training, meetings, conferences, and events.
