Job Purpose: We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager for the Responsible AI Program to lead and manage the AI governance efforts across the enterprise. This is a critical role in ensuring the integrity, fairness, security, and compliance of AI systems. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including data science , business teams , executive leadership , and cross-functional departments to support and enhance the AI governance structure, operationalize AI risk management processes, and continuously improve workflows. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in program/project management , particularly in compliance and risk management , combined with AI/ML knowledge to lead governance efforts. You will play a key role in advancing AI governance across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and supporting the enterprise's Responsible AI (RAI) goals. Requirements Governance Process & Continuous Improvement: Lead and support the execution and continuous improvement of AI governance processes , including AI inventory management , AIRB (AI Review Board) operations , and AI risk assessments . Manage intake, triage, and tracking of AI use cases across the organization, ensuring timely and risk-aligned reviews.
Documentation & Standards: Draft and maintain governance documentation , including process maps , standard operating procedures , and audit artifacts . Support the implementation of technical tooling and automation to streamline governance workflows.
Collaboration & Compliance Alignment: Partner with Compliance , Legal , and Technology teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., EU AI Act , Executive Orders ) and internal policies. Provide strategic guidance and best practices for AI governance to support organizational goals.
Metrics & Reporting: Contribute to the development of metrics and dashboards to track the effectiveness of governance processes and identify areas for continuous improvement. Ensure that governance effectiveness is actively monitored and reported across teams.
AI Risk Reviews & Training: Oversee AI risk reviews , ensuring appropriate risk mitigation strategies are in place for AI systems. Educate and train internal teams and stakeholders on Responsible AI practices and the importance of governance throughout the AI lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Manage cross-functional initiatives , collaborating with data science , legal , compliance , and technology teams to ensure alignment and the timely delivery of AI governance milestones.
Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy , Business , Technology , or related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in program or project management , ideally in compliance , risk , or governance functions . Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and multi-stakeholder initiatives. Strong background in AI/ML technologies, data governance , or digital health innovation .
Skills: Strong writing and communication skills ; ability to translate complex concepts into actionable guidance for a variety of stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite , SharePoint , and project management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications: Industry Experience: Experience in healthcare , life sciences , or regulated industries . Experience in AI governance , including the establishment or enforcement of best practices, standards, and ethics. Familiarity with AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF , OECD Principles , EU AI Act ).
Additional Skills: PMP or equivalent project management certification . Experience in the development or execution of AI products or services in healthcare. Experience supporting audit readiness or regulatory compliance initiatives .
