Responsible for creating and executing residential and commercial programs among all segments in the specified regional area to expand Rinnai’s market share. Coordinate with Territory Managers, Business Development Managers, and Regional Sales Manager to ensure the team is effectively maximizing opportunities to achieve corporate objectives. This position will manage a territory within San Diego and surrounding areas. Travel up to 75% within the territory. Salary range is $110,000 - $140,000 annually including incentives. Responsibilities Achieve sales targets, strategies, and tactics for the Rinnai assigned territory. Develop and grow sales in Repair and Replace segment, as well as assigned new construction builder Plumbing Contractors and Commercial Mechanical/Plumbing contractors. Provide product and installation training to plumbing contractors by segment. Implement and provide pricing, applicable discounts, advertising, and programs as approved by the Director of Sales. Manage and align with distribution partners in the Territory. Travel within the assigned Territory to deliver sales targets and market development responsibilities. Review progress quarterly and set achievement milestones. Conduct product knowledge training for all distributor sales (inside, outside, counter, and showroom). Define, plan, and execute alignment with RNC plumbers, R&R plumbers, and Commercial clients. Create localized plumber conversion programs for each responsible MSA. Build and execute presentation data to move Builders and Plumbers from tanks to tankless. Maintain contact with distributors and sales outlets to support supply chain. Utilize CRM to manage all sales funnel activities. Build relationships with strategic plumber partners and Regional RNC plumber management. Monitor and analyze field sales reports, interpret results, and take corrective actions to achieve targets. Assist in preparing annual and monthly sales forecasts and targets. Conduct Commercial Jobsite Visits to assist in system commissioning. Resolve customer complaints and address dealer problems, including warranty issues, in a timely manner. Support field product performance/quality issue identification and coordinate with Engineering for resolution. Provide monthly reports on training, competitive intelligence, product requirements, and pertinent information as prescribed by the Director of Sales. General regional administrative reporting and quarterly market summaries. Timely submission of T&E expenses and maintenance of territory training metrics. Manage plumber contracts and programming; handle workflows for field-related issues. Requirements Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or equivalent work experience. Minimum 3 years of demonstrated sales management experience in the construction products industry. Industry knowledge including construction products and gas appliance applications. Aggressive and seasoned in sales leadership, management, and direct selling. Ability to work with C-suite decision makers to gain alignment. Financial acumen to support clients and leverage Rinnai benefits. Experience with distribution accounts supporting the dealer supply chain. Strong ability to develop a dealer network across verticals. Ability to present key data like HERS ratings and energy efficiency benefits of Rinnai. Skills Understand and manage client needs to foster business alignment. Negotiate effectively and manage customer expectations. Organize workloads, set priorities, and manage time efficiently. Analytical and administrative skills including report writing and business reporting. Technical ability to market to each segment and their plumber/supplier partners. Present and manage marketing campaigns with ROI to clients/contractors. Proficient use of CRM and project management tools. Abilities Relationship building and teamwork within local and regional teams. Self-motivation, initiative, and achievement orientation. Strong presentation skills for groups of clients. Excellent sales, customer, and management awareness. Ability to influence stakeholders to support a push-pull strategy. Sound business planning and ability to motivate team members. Travel required: 40% - 75% based on territory coverage. Physical Requirements Physical Activities: Occasionally ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and maneuver in tight spaces. Physical Demands: Regular sedentary work; occasionally lift/move objects up to 20-100 pounds depending on task.
