As a Territory Sales Manager you'll be the face of our brand in Georgia, driving growth, building relationships and shaping the future of our business and agent relationships. Meet sales initiatives and goals in Georgia and understand the markets with which we do business. Assess performance of our independent agents and develop and implement sales strategies and manage an assigned book of business. Essential Position Functions Manage the marketing and sales activities in the assigned Georgia territory. Increase sales and productivity by visiting established agents, and appointing new producers Maintain effective relationships with agents by scheduling agency visits, managing sales incentives and educating agents about Southern General products. Agency results and production expectations should be communicated. Administrative reporting should be completed per the job requirements. Manage a profitable book of business through personal visits with agents Plan and execute distribution management model – strategic & tactical Key Competencies Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively Excellent verbal and written communication skills to reach a diverse range of individuals Demonstrates strong customer service competency Solid knowledge of independent agency distribution system Understanding of the GA markets and agents Ability to analyze and interpret data Ability to manage multiple priorities Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications. (Word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint) required Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers), demonstrated professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information Excellent communication skills. Ability to multitask. Ability to complete projects in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Risk Management/Insurance, Marketing or related field of study. 2+ years of Territory Management role in the non-standard industry preferred. Demonstrate a proven track record of building and maintaining a book of business. Strong customer service orientation Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Able to handle heavy workload with interruptions and changing priorities Ability to learn independent agency distribution system Ability to analyze and interpret data for making appropriate recommendations to management and customers Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Travel Requirements: Ability to travel 80% of the time.
