Job Summary
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Territory Sales Manager will support our lines of business in Northern California, servicing existing customers and developing new prospects to increase sales of Pebble Technology International's (PTI) products. You will build strong, lasting relationships in the swimming pool industry within the assigned region and rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.
Job Location
This is a remote position. The candidate must reside in the greater San Jose, Sacramento, or San Francisco areas.
Job Responsibilities
Drive sales coverage and penetration expansion through proven selling strategies
Execute sales initiatives to meet objectives (total sales revenue, price targets, and market share growth)
Build strong relationships with applicators within the region
Serve as liaison between applicators and pool builders
Maintain detailed and current contact notes in the database (dates, correspondence, opportunities, concerns)
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in professional societies (as approved by management)
Deliver professional presentations and on-site demonstrations of company products and services
Manage call schedule to adequately cover the assigned territory efficiently
Penetrate targeted accounts and generate sales from within the client base
Develop new customer accounts through cold calling if necessary
Stay informed about new products, services, and competitor activities
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
5+ years of professional experience in Sales, Marketing, or Project Management within the construction and/or pool industries
Proven ability to convert prospects and close deals while meeting sales quotas
Experience with relevant software (e.g., MS Office, Salesforce, Miva)
Strong presentation skills and experience leading training or product demonstrations
Experience in price negotiation/costing and competitive analysis
Knowledge of retail and/or wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
Self-motivated with high energy and enthusiasm
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Overnight travel up to 50%
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Compensation
Base salary is $85,000 - $90,000, plus commissions on target to $170,000
Eligible for commission
