Excel Truck Group is seeking a Trailer Parts Counter Sales Representative to join the team at our brand-new Ashland, VA location.
If you have the following, we want to hear from you: 5+ years of experience in Trailer Parts Solid communication and computer skills. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares operating and sales plans for the Trailer Parts department with the support of the Parts Manager, reviews on a regular basis and takes corrective action as needed. Develops and implements an effective sales and marketing plan with our Parts Manager that meets department sales and profit targets while supporting company goals and objectives. Leads and controls the Trailer parts inventory level, ensuring an adequate inventory and efficient use of warehouse space. Reviews department expenditures for accuracy, reconciles with vendor statements and provides payment authority. Establishes and fosters relationships with outside sales representatives, vendors and parts suppliers. Promotes effective communication between department and all other Branch departments to best serve customer’s needs. Works closely with the Parts Manager to review vendor products, determines which lines to carry and negotiates profit margin. Works closely with the Parts Manager to review our sales territory and customer purchase trends to develop effective strategies supporting profitability. Trains and appraises parts employees to ensure acceptable productivity and adherence to company goals and policies. Works closely with the Parts Manager to interview and hire for the Trailer Parts department personnel. Supports our Company’s commitment to Elite Support, 6 S and Safety. Develops strong internal relationships with our Service, Body, Trailer and Sales departments. Perform other duties as assigned in order to enhance and maximize the performance of the dealership.
