Overview:
This position will serve as the primary sales contact for qualified prospects generated by our Business Development team. This role focuses on conducting thorough needs assessments, delivering compelling product demonstrations, and shepherding prospects through the entire sales cycle from initial discovery to contract execution. The ideal candidate will excel at consultative selling and have experience managing complex B2B sales processes.
Key Responsibilities
Discovery & Needs Assessment
Conduct comprehensive discovery calls with qualified prospects to understand their specific needs, challenges, and objectives
Perform detailed needs assessments to identify how our solutions align with prospect requirements
Qualify prospects based on budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT)
Product Demonstrations & Presentations
Deliver customized product demonstrations tailored to prospect-specific use cases
Present solution capabilities and benefits in compelling, business-focused presentations
Address technical questions and objections during demonstrations
Proposal Development
Develop comprehensive proposals that address prospect's needs and requirements
Create customized pricing strategies based on prospect size, complexity, and value delivered
Respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs) with detailed, competitive submissions
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate technical specifications and cost estimations
Sales Process Management
Manage and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects from initial contact through contract execution
Guide prospects through each stage of the sales process with appropriate follow-up and communication
Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting in CRM system
Support the leadership team in the contract negotiation process and deal closing
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
Skills and Qualifications:
2-3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in subscription-based or SaaS environments
Strong understanding of EHS and ESG concepts is desired
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport with key stakeholders.
Strong presentation and demonstration skills
Experience in developing proposals and responding to RFPs
Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Proficiency in using CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and other sales tools.
Microsoft Office domain (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills
Understanding of customer lifecycle management
