About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Utility Sales for the Northeast US region. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of Sales Managers, driving revenue growth, and fostering strong relationships with key utility clients. This role requires a strategic mind, the ability to develop and articulate sales strategies, and a deep understanding of the utility sector, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics. The VP will be expected to work closely with the team to ensure the achievement of regional targets, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide insights to customers that involve multiple product line offerings.
Candidates for this position should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15 years' of account management or sales experience, with a focus on the utility sector or related industries. The role demands a proven track record in leading sales teams, experience in selling a combination of solutions, services, software, and hardware, and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. The ideal candidate will be an out-of-the-box thinker, highly focused on delivering results, and possess strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. A willingness to travel up to 50% of the time is also required. Experience with large investor-owned utility clients and recent work in the sales and marketing of power transmission and distribution products is a plus.
