Vice President of Sales – Heavy Equipment
Location:  Houston, TX (Heavy Travel Required – Up to 50%)
Job Overview:  We are seeking a seasoned Vice President of Sales with extensive experience in the commercial and/or industrial sectors, ideally within construction, heavy equipment, or oil & gas industries. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, adept at managing large sales teams, driving process improvements, and developing solutions to enhance overall sales performance. This is a high-impact role with significant travel required, offering a lucrative opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage large sales teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline sales operations, identify challenges, and implement solutions.
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies that foster business growth and market expansion within the commercial, construction, heavy equipment, and oil & gas sectors.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Oversee sales forecasts, budget planning, and performance metrics to ensure revenue targets are consistently achieved.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales initiatives with overall business strategy.
Manage extensive travel to engage with clients, attend industry events, and support field teams.
Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development for sales team members, ensuring the team remains motivated and high performing. Qualifications: 10-20+ years of sales experience, with at least 8-10 years in sales management or executive leadership roles.
Strong background in the commercial and/or industrial sectors, preferably in construction, heavy equipment, or oil & gas industries.
Proven ability to lead large sales teams and deliver exceptional results in a competitive marketplace.
Experience in developing and executing sales strategies that drive growth and profitability.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Compensation & Benefits: Highly competitive base salary with significant performance-based incentives (commissions) + LTIP.
