Vice President of Sales - -Remote, must be willing to travel to Des Moines, IA as needed. Candidates from the Midwest are preferred.  A dynamic and growth-oriented company is seeking a Vice President of Sales to lead its sales organization. This executive role is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, managing and mentoring the sales team, and aligning sales operations with broader business objectives to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Leadership, Management & Accountability Provide strong leadership and coaching to Client Executives, supporting their development and success in meeting sales targets.
Drive overall sales performance in alignment with the company’s strategic growth plan and capacity model.
Ensure all sales activities and outcomes align with fiscal budgets and operational objectives.
Strategic Sales Planning and Execution Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed company revenue goals.
Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategy accordingly.
Ensure alignment of sales strategies with the target market and business priorities.
Sales Process & Accountability Lead the execution of the company’s sales process, ensuring consistent adherence across the team.
Regularly review and refine the sales process documentation to promote compliance, transparency, and effectiveness.
Hold the team accountable to defined processes, fostering consistency and high-performance standards.
Forecasting, Budget Management & Revenue Growth Deliver accurate sales forecasts based on performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market data.
Manage the sales department’s budget and ensure spending aligns with strategic business priorities.
Use sales data to guide decisions about resource allocation and growth initiatives.
Ensure the sales team consistently meets or exceeds revenue targets.
Team Development and Coaching Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and coaching to elevate team capabilities.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement development or improvement plans as needed.
Promote a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and results.
Qualifications Proven success in a Vice President of Sales or equivalent leadership role, with a strong track record in sales strategy, growth, and team development.
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire sales teams.
Strong business acumen and analytical skills to interpret market data and trends.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferred.
