PositionSummary:
Manages the sales function of a large multi-state region of the US. Leads a team of sales and sales support professionals to develop a profitable customer base and grow sales of all WEG products throughout the area. Manage various sales channels to meet company's product and customer sales goals. This position is responsible for the budget and profit and loss within the area.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create and implement sales plan for the region to successfully achieve company growth goals across all product categories (Motors, Automation and Gearing).
Effectively communicate the company Marketing plan to the team and provide tools for success.
Support, train and develop TAMs (Territory Account Managers) with onsite customer visits to help in business development of general account base.
Engage directly in account development and contract negotiation with key accounts.
Analyze product sales and product sales projections to assist logistics with an area inventory plan.
Communicate with product and marketing managers to develop products/marketing programs to increase sales.
Provide reports to executive management and present on a quarterly basis.
Travel extensively throughout the area, as well as out of the area, to participate in company meetings and to represent the company at industry functions.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related field. MBA preferred. Equivalent management experience will be considered.
Experience (preferred):
3+ years of industry sales management experience
Demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge of customer needs and market trends, as well as knowledge of internal infrastructure and processes.
Ability to interpret an wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
People Management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as Outlook.
Keen understanding of principles and techniques of business development.
This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in California, preferably in the southern region of Sacramento or nearby areas.
