Heritage Landscape Supply Groupis seeking a full time Yard Associate/Counter Sales position will focus on duties such as stocking the yard area, warehouse areas, shipping and receiving of products, loading/unloading trucks and counter sales duties. The workweek is Monday through Saturday, with an opportunity for overtime during the busy season. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Stocking, receiving, pulling, and staging all yard/warehouse products. Loading, unloading, and securing product for customers, delivery vehicles, and inbound trucks. Keeping yard area neat and organized. Operating Forklifts and front-end loaders in outdoor environments. Focusing on safe work practices, such as wearing PPE, proper lifting techniques, etc., while performing daily duties and using company equipment. Other related duties as assigned such as receiving etc. SALES DUTIES MAY INCLUDE Entering orders at the point of sale using the company computer system Interacting with customers over the phone, via email, and in-person Greet customers with a friendly attitude Basic computer and phone skills Communicate to customers the correct product for their application Communicate to customers how the material is priced and sold Create Sales Orders Create Quotes to estimate the cost of projects, quantities of material needed from customer measurements Efficient scheduling of truck deliveries Clear communication between manager, employees, and clients Being honest, courteous, and respectful to customers & employees at all times Maintain and assist to keep a clean work environment Learn basic knowledge of products available to customers Inform management of products/special order material customers need Assist with Inventory Cycle Counts Order picking/staging/Replenishment Shipping/Receiving Loading/unloading delivery vehicles Other related duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS Basic computer knowledge and Internet use Forklift experience helpful, not required Ability to lift 75 pounds; 50 pounds on a repetitive basis Bilingual (English and Spanish) is helpful, but not required Able to pass a pre-employment drug test/background screening.
