Coastal Welding Supply / (AWG) has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Manager based in San Antonio, TX     Position Summary: This senior management level position will be responsible for coordinating efforts of the regional sales team to ensure effective implementation of sales, product, and marketing strategies; assist in the development and implementation of training for the sales team; and increasing awareness of the Company and the features and benefits of the many products and services that we offer.   Incentives: Collaborative team environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Grow region sales and margins through the development and leadership of Territory Managers. Grow region sales and margins through branch inside sales and driver sales strategies. Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers at key AWG customers. Manage the efforts to sign existing and new customers to multi-year Product Sales Agreements. Develop, implement, and track sales/marketing programs and promotions for all locations within assigned territory. Responsible for results of programs and initiatives. Full management and utilization of AWG’s CRM sales software to prioritize sales activities for Territory Managers and set Activity Report agenda. Using information from internal financial reviews, identify and correct shortfalls in sales and margin and assist in maintaining acceptable accounts receivable percentages. Provide training and communication to Territory Managers regarding programs to improve competitive position and improve customer service levels. Organize training for store employees on various product lines. Monitor market conditions and product innovations. Assess market potential of new and existing store locations. Prepare weekly call reports, sales budgets and reports, sales records, and expense account reports. Comply with all AWG company rules, policies, and procedures as well as Federal, State and Local laws. Establish and track goals for Territory Managers. Identify sales and product training opportunities and assist in identifying associates to attend such training. Key Product Lines for Growth (Industrial gas, Medical gas, Bulk gas, Specialty gas, Welding equipment and supplies, etc.). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge of gas products and related equipment. 3 years of sales leadership experience in the gas and welding supply industry. Knowledge of welding/industrial products and equipment. Familiarity and proven success with various sales techniques and methods. Must have positive demeanor and the ability to motivate others Strong computer, math, and time management skills.
