Summary:

AlphaStaffHCM is recruiting on behalf of a Houston-based technology company transforming businesses with AI-driven solutions. Our client builds AI “workers” that handle complex tasks, detect anomalies, engage customers, and autonomously manage insights, data, scheduling, and issues. Day-to-Day:

As an Account Executive, you will be primarily responsible for driving new business, with a focus on targeting mid- to large-sized enterprise accounts. About 70% of your role will be “hunter” focused, prospecting, building pipelines, and closing new deals, while the remaining 30% will involve nurturing and upselling existing clients. You’ll also collaborate closely with the marketing team and executive team to shape an overall sales strategy and will play a central role in building the foundation for a future sales team. This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership, including direct interaction with the CEO.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and growth objectives
  • Prospect and secure net new clients through targeted outreach, relationship building, and presentations to C-suite executives
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships, identifying upsell opportunities
  • Maintain and forecast a healthy pipeline, providing accurate revenue and account planning updates to senior leadership
  • Partner with marketing and executive teams on sales collateral and strategic initiatives
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Collaborate with leadership on building and mentoring a future sales team


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in technology, consulting services, or related B2B sectors
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proven record of exceeding quotas, with measurable revenue growth achievements
  • Strong experience selling into the C-suite and leading executive-level presentations
  • Skilled in managing pipelines, forecasting, and account reviews
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems; Marketo or comparable marketing platforms a plus
  • Technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand AI, mobile applications, and enterprise technology solutions


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling enterprise AI and digital transformation solutions
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Computer Science or related technical degree


Compensation and Perks:

  • Base salary range: $100,000 to $125,000, depending on experience
  • Performance-based bonus potential
  • Full-time role based in Houston, TX (currently remote; moving toward a hybrid model in the future: 3 days office / 2 days remote)
  • Standard working hours: 9am–6pm CST
  • Strong growth opportunity to build and lead a sales team
