Responsibilities Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs. Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed buying decisions. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast demand and align inventory with customer needs. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality products and timely deliveries. Monitor stock levels and initiate orders as necessary to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Prepare reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance for management review. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding procurement practices. Qualifications Proven experience in a buying or purchasing role, preferably within a retail or wholesale environment. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build relationships with vendors and internal teams. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms from suppliers. Solid understanding of sales principles and how they relate to inventory management. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with inventory management software is a plus. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all purchasing activities. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
