Job Summary
Job Summary:
Working as the Catering Sales Manager you will effectively coordinate and oversee internal and external catering events. You will be responsible for menu development as well as costing and marketing functions as they relate to the catering department. You will implement labor cost control, foods cost control, preparation, transportation, setup, operation and clean-up of all events.
Job Description Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
3+ years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality, events, or food service
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Experience with CRM software and sales analytics
Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue
Build and maintain relationships with key clients and prospects
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to enhance offerings
Identify new business opportunities and upsell existing clients
Manage contract negotiations and ensure client satisfaction
Track and analyze sales performance to optimize strategies
Facilitate weekly BEO and event meetings with operations teams to ensure everyone is aligned on event expectations
Knowledge of A/V equipment with the ability to upsell for events
Inspect event setups to ensure they match the banquet event order
