Our client is the leading floor covering installation company with a national presence across 16 states. They are known for providing high quality flooring solutions to a wide range of commercial customers.
This position is a direct hire and will be remote in location. It entails up to 40% travel across multiple states and management/leadership of teams of commercial sales reps. This role is responsible for driving regional and national sales initiatives, supporting the sales team to meet and exceed targets, and cultivating new business opportunities in diverse commercial markets. Key Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and support a geographically dispersed team of sales representatives.
Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the company’s commercial flooring footprint across multiple industries.
Set performance goals and monitor results, providing coaching and guidance to achieve individual and team sales targets.
Collaborate with internal departments including operations, support, and installation teams to ensure client satisfaction and project success.
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
Foster relationships with key commercial clients, including general contractors, property managers, architects, and designers.
Maintain connections with product vendor representatives, remaining abreast of the newest products available and negotiating the lowest prices.
Oversee training and onboarding of new sales team members.
Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates to the Vice President.
Travel to regional offices, job sites, and client meetings as needed (up to 25–40%).
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in commercial construction, flooring, or a related industry.
Proven track record of managing successful sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
Strong knowledge of commercial flooring products and installation processes is a plus.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to travel and manage a multi-state territory.
Proficiency in CRM tools, sales reporting software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
