The Counter Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service at the sales counter by assisting with over-the-counter transactions, order fulfillment, inventory support, and product inquiries. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while representing Vance Brothers with professionalism and integrity. High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training preferred. Strong customer service skills, both written and verbal. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Proficiency with basic math for order and cash reconciliation. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, or irregular schedules as needed. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with warehouse or yard duties as necessary. Additional Duties ("Add-Ons") • Material ordering (Tensar, Deery, RP, Black Beauty QPR, etc.) for projects and inventory. • Processing invoices for inventory tracking. • Oversight of rental equipment billing (2% rentals). • Freight management and coordination. • Basic Cimline equipment maintenance knowledge (loading sealer and tack). _____________ The Counter Sales Associate at Vance Brothers, Inc. is the first point of contact for customers at the Denver branch, responsible for delivering excellent service through over-the-counter sales, order processing, and product support. This role involves assisting customers in person, by phone, and by email; handling transactions and invoicing; coordinating product orders, shipping, and inventory; and supporting both inside and outside sales functions. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a safe and professional workspace. The Counter Sales Associate also contributes to facility operations, freight management, and occasional rental equipment coordination, ensuring customers receive accurate information and timely service.
