The Deficiency Sales Representative is responsible for creating fire protection repair estimates for deficiencies found during life safety inspections. Their main objective involves communicating with new and existing customers to understand their needs and then helping them select the right products or services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Creates fire protection repair estimates and quotes for deficiencies found during inspections.
Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
Follow up with customers on open and unapproved repairs estimates.
Continuously update the CRM tracker with quotes sent, approved, completed, and not yet approved.
Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
Create and maintain an open line of communication and working relationship with the individual branch managers, division managers, inspection technicians and office personnel.
Create work orders for all approved repairs.
Follow up with branches on approved repairs, not yet scheduled/completed.
Provide exceptional customer service
Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure the lowest prices for materials and devices
Create and maintain office related records and reports
Meet or exceed the assigned sales quota on a consistent basis.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Education/Qualification: Excellent verbal and written communication
Efficiency with Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of NFPA 10, 25, 17, 96
Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Sales experience preferred
Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Must be able and willing to work within a team environment.
Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Other Duties: Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
