Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr Job Title: Director of Commercial National Sales Location: Batavia, IL (100% Onsite) Reports To: President Position Summary The Director of Commercial National Sales is responsible for leading the commercial sales strategy and execution across national accounts. This highly visible role involves direct engagement with key customers, national distributors, and internal stakeholders to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and lead a high-performing team of sales professionals. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, and a consultative sales approach to support strategic business objectives. $150,000 to $220,000/yr Total Compensation, Base + Bonus (Commensurate with Experience) Robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision plans 401(k) with up to 6% company match + Roth 401(k) Profit-sharing plan FSA/HSA with company contribution Generous PTO policy including immediate sick time, floating holidays, and vacation accrual Strong company culture with a collaborative, team-first environment Key Responsibilities Lead the national commercial sales function, including both direct and distributor-based channels. Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets. Build and maintain strong relationships with major accounts, including national distributors and end users. Provide clear direction, support, and leadership to a team of account managers. Oversee sales presentations, contract negotiations, and pricing strategies. Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and product development. Provide regular updates and insights to the executive leadership team. Participate in and represent the company at national and regional trade shows. Support sales reps with product education, training, and selling tools to enhance performance. Travel 30–50% nationally to meet with customers and attend events. Uphold company policies related to safety, ethics, and compliance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (strong experience may be considered in lieu). 10–15 years of sales experience in the commercial or manufacturing sector. Proven experience leading and developing a national sales team. Track record of building relationships with large accounts (e.g., Uline, Grainger). Experience working within a manufacturing environment is required . Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using CRM or sales tracking systems. High-level analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Full-time, onsite role in Batavia, IL, with regular travel (30-50% travel, locally & nationally). Requires use of a computer, frequent interaction with clients and team members, and occasional extended work hours due to business needs. Must be able to sit, stand, and travel as needed.
